We’ve already had a whirlwind of a week as Star Wars Unlimited fans, with stores and fans worried over stock.
These concerns though, have seemingly been eased by Fantasy Flight Games, in a statement on Twitter/X, the company wrote:
We wanted to give you a brief update on how Star Wars: Unlimited is doing. The game has been an unprecedented success for Asmodee and for FFG. In its first week, it has already far exceeded the sales of any game we have ever released as a studio and has also exceeded the best expectations we had anticipated. Players and retailers have responded with a level of enthusiasm that has exceeded our wildest expectations! So first and foremost, THANK YOU for your passion and enthusiasm for the game in this first week.
Our goal has always been to release just the right amount of product to the market, to avoid distributing too much product but also to avoid leaving the market without it for long periods of time. The good news is that we had a plan in place in case sales overperformed. According to our best forecasts we thought we would activate the plan at the end of March, but the events of the last weeks triggered that plan a little earlier, (we didn’t think we would have to implement it so soon, so once again thank you!).
Although we still have stock available, the strategy we are discussing with our distribution partners is to release the available product in measured waves until Set 2 is released. This will ensure that we have a steady flow of product reaching the community in the coming months and allow the organization of draft and sealed events. If you are a retailer, please stay in touch with your local distributor for additional information.

With set two on its way in July, it appears the company is aiming for an increased production rate prior to its release. We’d also guess that they’d up their original forecast for set two prints, in anticipation.
Also revealed in the statement, FFG highlights how their best forecasts have hit weeks early. This is huge for the game, and while stock is a frustration for fans, it just shows the waves the community has been making. Here’s hoping it can be found on more shelves in the coming weeks.
